Je Me Presente Oral Presentations

Last Friday the students took home their marked and corrected French tests.  They were to practise them and present them Monday and Tuesday.  For the most part they did a fabulous job!  Formidable!  Some of them had their presentation memorized and used gestures. It was fantastic to see! Keep up the great work!

Les Animaux de Compagnie

We have started a new unit the last few days of school. We are learning about Pets (animaux de compagnie).  The students have been introduced to the new vocabulary and have been working on learning to identify various common and not so common household pets.  I have challenged the children to learn the names of the following pets this week:

1. Un chat - A cat
2. Un Cheval - A horse
3. Un Chien - A dog
4. Un Cobaye - A guinea pig
5. Une Gerbille - A Gerbil
6. Une Grenouille - A frog
7. Un Hamster - A Hamster
8. Un Lapin - A rabbit
9. Un Oiseau - A bird
10. Un Perroquet - A parrot
11. Une Perruche - A budgie
12. Un Poisson - A fish
13. Un Serpent - A snake
14. Une Souris - A mouse
15. Une Tortue - A turtle

Also, students should be taking home their notebooks on the weekend to practise this and more vocabulary.
