Numbers and Months

Bonjour!! We have been super busy in class and I haven't had time to come online to update you all.  I apologize but we are back up and ready to go!  This week we have been learning how to count up to 10 and how to say the months of the year.  This is all a part of our All About Me unit.  We are almost done this unit!  Here is some of our new vocabulary:

Describing Myself

I hope everyone had a fabulous weekend.  I want to thank everyone that has been going on the site regularly.  It's wonderful to see such dedication from both the students and parents.  It was great to hear them singing the new song we learnt in school!  This week we are going to be learning how to describe ourselves.  Here is what we have learnt so far:

Un garçon - a boy

Une fille - a girl

petit (e) - small/little

grand (e) - big

je suis - I am

il est - He is

elle est - She is

J'ai les cheveux ______. - I have ______ hair

blonds - blonde

roux - red

noirs - black

bruns - brown

Students are encouraged to practise making short and simple sentences with these words to describe themselves and their classmates.  Here is to another week full of learning!

Please review these words at home.  The best way to successfully learn a language is by repeating words and practicing over and over.
